22 Sep 2009 - PS2 and Dreamcast Titles Coming to Playstation 3
A week or so ago I talked about Sony being able to make the PS3 Slim be able to play PS2 games in a system update.
PS2 sales are really low right now so it looks like Sony have decided to allow users to download the games from the Playstation Store in the future, likely to be next year.
This info is according to a well respected French website, Objectif-Sega, Playstation 2 games AND Dreamcast titles will be available to download directly to the PS3 Slim from the Playstation Store.
I thought something like this would come at some point, and although this has not been confirmed, I think this is true. I wasn't expecting to see anything about Dreamcast games though!
PS2 games are large in file size, so they will be touch cookies to download.
The same website believes the Sony Motion controller will be released around March 2010.. interesting!
22 Sep 2009 - Fifa 10 Demo in Playstation Store
EA have released a FIFA 10 demo in the Playstation store.
FIFA 10 is due to released in early October, so the demo has been released to give FIFA fans a taster of what the game is going to be like.
I took no time to waste and downloaded the demo from the Playstation store, which is an online store in the Playstation Network for downloading demos, videos and even full games.
Being a FIFA fan, I was anticipating playing the demo on my new PS3 Slim, and I did like what I saw from the Demo.
The game feels much more fluid and realistic. Instead of players having the ball "glued" to their feet it feels different, it's hard to describe but it's better.
You can play as a few teams in the demo, including; Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Chicargo fire. All the teams players are distinctive, for example, Lampard from Chelsea plays like Lampard from Chelsea.
Quick free kicks are good, but corners are much better as now you can actually see who you are crossing the ball into. In FIFA 09 the box looked distant therefore it was rather difficult to pick out a man in the box. Also the players run into the box instead of stand in the box and get outmuscled by a bigger player, so FIFA 10 is much more realistic.
Speaking of being muscled off, FIFA 10 makes use of physical attributes of players aspects.

22 Sep 2009 - Bioshock 2 coming Febuary 9, 2010
The sequel to Bioshock, a game which won numerous awards has been given a release date of February 9, 2010. The game, rightly called Bioshock 2 is being talked up as being a massive hit. The game flips the first game's plot on its head. You take on the role of Big Daddy monster that ruled the decaying underwater world of the first game, Bioshock 1. You are hunting down new monster "Big Sister" in a battle to save the souls of kidnapped little girls.
